My Plea

(In Paradelle rhyming aAbBAb aAbBcd aAbBcd aabccb)

Through meadows soft come, walk with me;
Through meadows soft come, walk with me,
Where tumble weeds explore the moor;
Where tumble weeds explore the moor.
Come walk through soft meadows with me
Where tumble weeds the moor explore.

Sing in my ear your sweet love songs;
Sing in my ear your sweet love songs.
With those notes of yore, we shall reach;
With those notes of yore, we shall reach;
We shall reach those sweet notes of yore
With your love songs, sing in my ear.

With wild flair, wayside flowers nod;
With wild flair, wayside flowers nod,
Near the croft in the open fields;
Near the croft in the open fields.
Wayside flowers nod with wild flair;
In the croft, near the open fields.

Come walk with me through meadows soft
In wild open fields near the croft,
Where tumble weeds explore the moor.
Those wayside flowers nod with flair;
With your love songs, sing in my ear.
We shall reach the sweet notes of yore.

  1. I shall walk with you,
    Through the meadows softly,
    with the tumble weeds
    & wayside flowers,
    in the open fields,
    near the moor,
    near the croft,

    With the love songs sung,
    sweetly with notes of yore,
    singing with care,
    whispering upon the ears.

    Come walk with me,
    Gently as I lead,
    and see the moor, the fields,
    and the meadows.
    With songs of love, joy and hope,
    in reaching the journey of Life
    of Songs.

  2. Hi James

    I hasten to add that gardening and poetry do go hand-in-hand. Invitation accepted. Shall be right over to see what else is growing in your garden. Have you written anything about the allamanda? In fact, I was surprised by joy to see an allamanda creeping on my window. Oh! what a magnificent backdrop for my my glassed window. I can not wait to see its yellow flowers waving to me from that window. Later on today I shall take a photo this bold plant and share it to the world.

    Your poetic response is truly amazing and inspiring. Thank you. Have a great New Year.
