Silver Garden Spider

The silver garden spider is found in the tropics and the southern parts of North America. The silver color develops over time and this orb weaver can grow to be large in the garden. The silver garden spider weaves its web between plants and has x-shaped stabilimentum which aids in identifying it. I came upon this silver garden spider for the first time while I was mowing the front lawn three days after Chantal passed over Barbados.  Its beauty caught my eyes so I had to capture nature's awesome picture.
