Psalm 41v3-4: The Lord will strengthen him upon the
bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness. I said, Lord,
be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee. (KJV)
Galatians 5v18-26: But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are
not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these:
Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness Idolatry, witchcraft,
hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings murders,
drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I
have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not
inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith. Meekness, temperance: against such
there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the
affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one
another. (KJV)
Jude 1v5-25: I will therefore put
you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved
the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed
not. And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own
habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the
judgment of the great day. Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about
them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after
strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal
fire. Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion,
and speak evil of dignities. Ye Michael the archangel, when contending with the
devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a
railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. But these speak evil of
those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute
beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. Woe unto them! For they have
gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward,
and perished in the gainsaying of Core. These are spots in your feasts of
charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they
are without water, carried about of winds: trees whose fruit withereth, without
fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; Raging waves of the sea, foaming
out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of
darkness for ever. And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam prophesied of these
saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousand of His saints, To execute
judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their
ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches
which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him. These are murmurers, complainers,, walking
after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having
men’s persons in admiration because of advantage. But, beloved, remember ye the
words which were spoke before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How
that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk
after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual,
having not the Spirit. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most
holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. Keep yourselves in the love of God,
looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some
have “compassion making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them
out of the “fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Now unto him
that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the
presence of his glory with exceeding joy. To the only wise God our Saviour, be
glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. (KJV)
Acts 14v11-15: And when the people saw what Paul had
done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods
are come down to us in the likeness of men. And they called Barnabas, Jupiter;
and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker. Then the priest of
Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates,
and would have done sacrifice with the people. Which when the apostles,
Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the
people, crying out, And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men
of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these
vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and
all things that are therein: (KJV)
Psalm 149: Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a
new song, and His praise in the congregation of saints. Let Israel rejoice in Him
that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them
praise His name in the dance: let them sing praises unto Him with the timbrel
and harp. For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: He will beautify the meek
with salvation. Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon
their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword
in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the
people; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all His saints. Praise
ye the Lord. (KJV)
St John 1v1-9:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him: and
without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life; and the life
was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness
comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The
same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through Him
might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. (KJV)
