Silent Pleasure, Prose Poem

Capturing the beauty of everyday life and all that it brings
Such drunken pleasure allows me to linger in
Your heart ever since you left this world behind
Truly this has changed my outlook of the world
And my life for all eternity the memory of you
In the month of June and that silent sacred spot
In Sunset Quest there where you are at peace
Since that day in June you said goodbye
For God's eternal world, but this I must in reminiscing
That the black-birds in the cherry-tree
Still sing their awesome chirps even to this day in the
Twenty-first- century leaves still fall like snow
Near the back-yard banyan tree
And your love still shines in the house you built for us
Until the end of time the memory of you lives on.

(June 2019)
