The Palm I Am

Here I am standing six feet in rich loam

    To Bimshire came I from ancestral home

    I love it here under tropical sky

    And truly, I have many reasons why

    

Yes, yes I am the Manila palm tree

Glee takes fallen branches from under me

Oval fruits in red attire hang down

All over the country they bring renown

Tower of height am I in this island

In Pam's garden near Pat’s fence is grand
