(a pseudo-elegiac couplet)
Black on this day as she thinks of the dew on a face of the maimed frame;
Her joy with glow of dreams on hanging chad;
Stars in the dark in a sky with a harp with unstrung strings' endgame,
And roses lost their scent with verse on pad.
Words in the way of regrets in a dreamy abyss of a sad soul;
A love in stiffness clings on dark lilac;
Hanging icicles on aspens and pines for a love to unfold flagpole;
Her wish this day becomes elegiac.
