Spider in the Web

(in Dactylic Hexameter)

Rousing the girl, in her sleep, in the night, from the fear of the bed tick;
Large bug clings to the glass on the window and drapery weaves net
Spacing the walk large spider in web with its legs in an orbital cassette;
Spans as it probes, Jane thinks; weird thoughts feed brain, and she grabs stick.

Plans hatched; laced with a spite for the eight legs treading the pyramid;
Erratic 'pain in the neck' and its smut cells packed in a cartoon;
Weaving from rafters in house on the hilltop; spinning its cocoon;
Falls from the swing on to bed spread; spreading its canopied meshed grid.

Bag it in, lock with a bolt and a pin in the code in a safe home
Following games on the web, with the blogs, and the clutter on gateways;
Following the rules, and the droid blends; mixing to help with the stargaze;
Working its feet with the rules of the game on a spaghetti skinned chrome.

Scuttles, and slides on a thin line sky high; lacing the wide web;
Sound of the bell when keys stick, lock screen crashing the payroll,
Eight of its eyes in the light to the right, and the left of the console;
Replacing its lost legs; new ones growing from cells in the world web.

Daddy recycles its long legs; empties its trash in the background;
Fearful of spider in bonzi, and roping the ground with its stretched neck,
Searching in cells for the names in the blog list, scouting with hi-teck;
Pollutes the air as it flows to the face in a twittering rebound.

Sadly, I think of the work of the web cam; standing in spotlight,
Shows in the world wide web, fake dates on their tags, with a cute name;
Spinning its eight great webbed feet Bill Gates shows them his acclaim,
Spreading the wealth, as it were, with the poor folks brazen for the fight.

  2. It's good to see you reading me amid the overwhelming destruction the earthquake unleashed on NZ. Thank God you and your family have been spared from the slaughter. My heart goes out to family who are grieving for the loss of family and friends. I pray that they find the strength to deal with their pain as they rebuild their lives.

    I'll send you a detailed answer to your questions in an email and thank you for your many comments on my blog. Take care and have a happy Sunday.
